Flat steel prices in Vietnam have been following a sideways trend, with hot rolled coil (HRC) domestic base prices still at $635-640/mt ex-works and cold rolled coil (CRC) prices at $780-790/mt ex-works, both excluding VAT.

On the import side, Chinese HRC offers to Vietnam have indicated a decline of $40/mt since last week and are now at $580-590/mt CFR, while import offers from Russia to Vietnam for 2 mm re-rolling HRC have gained clarity in line with firm bids, with prices decreasing by $40-45/mt to $580/mt CFR. On the other hand, ex-China boron-added re-rolling HRC import offers to Vietnam stand at $600/mt CFR.
