Following the strengthening of hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in the global market and consequent rising costs, Pakistan’s producers of cold rolled (CRC) and hot dip galvanized (HDG) coils have revised their sales prices upwards. It is noteworthy that there had been no changes in their prices since May.
Accordingly, compared to two months ago, prices for CRC and HDG in Pakistan have increased by PKR 3,000/mt ($17-18/mt). However, dollar-based quotations have notably declined due to the the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee, which has weakened during the given period by about 5.6 percent.
