Finland-based steelmaker Outokumpu announced alloy surcharges for its
stainless steel grades effective for October 2006.
In line with the statement released by the company, Outokumpu will apply an alloy surcharge of Euro 1,928 per ton on its 304 series for October 2006 deliveries. The surcharge on 304 series for September 2006 is Euro 1,580 per ton.
On the other hand, alloy surcharge on 316 series will be Euro 3,419 per ton, up Euro 466 against September surcharge, while 430 ferritic grade series will be subject to an alloy surcharge of Euro 233 per ton, which is same with September surcharge.
