Outokumpu Americas announces price increase

Effective April 1, Outokumpu Coil Americas announced price increases for all non-contract items in the USA and Canada. Cold rolled 300 & 400 series will have their discount reduced by 2 total points, cold rolled 200 series will have their discount reduced by 4 total points, HBW/CMP base pricing will be increased by $3.50/cwt and 200 Series will be increased by $7.00/cwt, and polish discounts will be reduced by 10 percent.

Additionally, also beginning on April 1, Outokumpu Coil Americas will implement an electrode addition of .036/pound for all stainless steels.

Outokumpu also previously announced price increases for March 1 and January 1, 2018 shipments of non-contract items. This is the third price increase in 2018.

Allegheny Technologies has also announced price increases beginning April 1 to customers, though details have not yet been reported to SteelOrbis.
