Prices in the local Turkish stainless steel market have remained unchanged over the past seven days. Market sources state that demand in the local Turkish stainless steel market is at low levels due to the traditional slowdown observed in summer, adding that they expect an increase in prices in the coming period against the backdrop of the rises seen in London Metal Exchange’s (LME) nickel quotations in recent days.
Accordingly, Turkish stainless steel producers have continued to keep their domestic prices stable in the current week, with prices of 2-6 mm 304 grade 2B stainless steel cold rolled coil (CRC) at $2,400-2,500/mt ex-works and prices of 2-6 mm 430 grade 2B stainless steel CRC at $1,400-1,500/mt ex-works.
Meanwhile, SteelOrbis has been informed that Turkish traders’ prices of 2-6 mm 304 grade 2B stainless steel CRC have also remained stable week on week at $2,400-2,500/mt ex-warehouse, while their prices of 2-6 mm 430 grade 2B stainless steel CRC have moved sideways at $1,450-1,550/mt ex-warehouse.
