Local Turkish flat steel spot prices move down further

Over the past week demand in the Turkish spot flat steel market has been low. Buyers have continued to buy only according to their immediate needs and to put pressure on prices. The ongoing problems regarding cash flow continue. Traders have had to reduce their prices further due to the lower flat steel prices of Turkish producers, but they say the materials in their stock are high-priced materials from old contracts. Market sources state that demand is not expected to recover in the short term.

In the same period, prices have decreased by $30/mt for HRC and HR P&O, while declining by $20/mt for CRC materials.
