Italian domestic flat steel prices soften further

According to market sources, flat steel prices have weakened further in the Italian domestic market amid low demand. Hot rolled coil (HRC) transaction prices have decreased by €2.5/mt on average compared to March 26 to €460-475/mt ($515-532/mt) ex-works. Meanwhile, compared to two weeks ago, cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil prices have decreased by €10/mt and €5/mt respectively, with CRC prices now at €545-555/mt ($610-622/mt) and HDG prices are at €555-565/mt ($622-633/mt), all ex-works.
