According to market sources, while Chinese exporters have been seeking to dominate the Omani hot rolled coil (HRC) market, Indian HRC producers have accelerated their sales activities to this destination. Ex-China HRC offers to Oman, which were in the range of $520-525/mt CFR two weeks ago, are higher than Indian HRC offers and so Indian exporters have been able to enter the Omani HRC market with ease. Ex-India HRC offers to Oman are currently in the range of $505-515/mt CFR.
