Over the past week, demand for imported hot rolled coil (HRC) in the local United Arab Emirates (UAE) has remained weak, with no new bookings being heard. Due to the National Day holiday in China, Chinese suppliers have not made HRC offers to the UAE market this week, while before the holiday Chinese HRC export quotations were at $600/mt CFR.  Meanwhile, ex-India HRC offers to the UAE, which were at $590/mt last week, have continued to decrease slightly, softening to $580-590/mt CFR. In the given period, ex-CIS HRC offers to the UAE have remained unchanged at $580-590/mt CFR. According to market sources, HRC offers to the UAE are showing a downward tendency.
