The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $850/mt, against $900/mt one month ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In September, Brazil exported 94,800 mt and imported 19,000 mt of HR, against 70,800 mt and 5,100 mt in August.
The exports of September were destined to South American countries (51,900 mt at $719/mt), Portugal (36,100 mt at $833/mt) and Vietnam (6,800 mt at $739/mt), all FOB conditions. The exporters were ArcelorMittal (58,400 mt), CSN (35,000 mt), and Usiminas (1,400 mt).
The imports came from China (12,500 mt at $866/mt), Russia (3,400 mt at $495/mt), Hong Kong (3,000 mt at $1,033/mt) and a small volume from South Korea
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold, in medium to high volumes by steel producers, at BRL 6,100/mt ($1,151/mt), against BRL 6,200/mt one month ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
