Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $900/mt, against $1,000/mt five weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In June, Brazil exported 126,200 mt and imported 3,200 mt of HRC, against respectively 146,300 mt and 8,100 mt in May.
The destinations of the exports were South American countries (83,800 mt at $896/mt), Portugal (42,100 mt at $884/mt) and the Dominican Republic (300 mt at $975/mt). The exporters were ArcelorMittal (49,600 mt), CSN (42,000 mt) and Usiminas (34,600 mt).
The imports came from China (2,700 mt at $1,033/mt), the US (300 mt at $1,112/mt) and South Korea (200 mt at $746/mt) FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades are sold, in medium to high volumes by steel producers, at BRL 6,000/mt ($1,156/mt), against BRL 6,300/mt five weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
