Import offer prices for US import HDG and Galvalume coil are unchanged since our last report two weeks ago, but sources close to SteelOrbis note that the stability during the year-end holiday period was expected. Most offices in the US were shut down for the last two weeks of the year, sources said, adding that many overseas trading offices were closed as well.

And while current price points are stable, traders say its because new offers haven’t been delivered yet. “We expect to get new pricing later this week, and we believe those offers will be priced higher than what we got in the last round,” one trader source said.

This week’s prices are listed in the chart below:

0.012” G30 HDG coil $/cwt $/mt $/nt weekly change Delivery
South Africa / UAE/ Vietnam / Korea $63-$68 $1,389-$1,499 $1,260-$1,360 neutral DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports

Vietnam / Korea $65-$69 $1,433-$1,521 $1,300-$1,380 neutral DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports
