Bearish outlook in the raw material and steel markets worldwide has continued to encourage the Pakistani hot rolled coil (HRC) buyers to seek lower prices in the negotiations with foreign suppliers. Accordingly, last week a Pakistan-based re-roller has managed to purchase 10,000 mt of ex-Ukraine HRC at $880/mt CFR, for November shipment. The price is $40/mt lower than it was fixed in bookings for ex-Russia HRC to Pakistan in the middle of September.
