According to market sources, over the past week Italian producers’ cold rolled coil (CRC) prices have trended sideways at €535-545/mt ($599-610/mt), while their hot dip galvanized (HDG) prices have declined by €2.5/mt on average to €540-550/mt ($605-616/mt) ex-works. While demand is still week, the prices are showing signs of stabilizing as mills think the bottom is close due to high raw material prices, according to the sources. Meanwhile, producers’ hot rolled coil (HRC) prices are at €455-465/mt ($510-521/mt) ex-works, declining by €7.5/mt on average compared to a week ago.
