Mainstream ex-China steel plate offer prices from mills have been heard at $620/mt FOB for November shipment as of today, Monday, September 26, down by $10/mt compared to September 19. Reference deal prices have been heard at $610-615/mt FOB to South America and Southeast Asia versus $620-615/mt FOB a week ago.

During the given week, domestic steel plate prices moved down first, while the rebounding trend in HRC futures prices in the latter part of the given week bolstered domestic steel plate prices prices. At the same time, steel plate producers are not so eager to produce at present. It is expected that steel plate prices may edge up in the coming week.
