Egyptian HRC market evaluates alternative import sources

According to market sources, Egypt-based steelmaker EZDK Steel has kept its October rolling hot rolled coil (HRC) prices unchanged as compared to prices for September production materials at EGP 4,550/mt ($635/mt) ex-works, excluding 10 percent VAT.
 
As for the import market, due to the lack of offers of Ukrainian materials, import HRC availability in Egypt has diminished. Thus, Egyptian traders have booked HRC from Saudi Arabia at the price level of $663/mt delivered, including 10 percent VAT, for October production materials.
