It is observed that domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in Iran have moved up by $37.5/mt during the past week to $620-635/mt ex-warehouse, including nine percent VAT. Market sources state that the rises seen in global HRC prices have pushed up domestic HRC quotations in Iran. On the other hand, they also report that import HRC purchases in Iran have been slow for some time now and this has caused HRC supply to decline, supporting the increases seen in domestic HRC quotations.
