Over the past four weeks, hot rolled coil (
HRC) prices in the local Portuguese market have remained stable, while hot rolled sheet (HRS) and hot dip
galvanized (HDG) prices have declined. Accordingly, in the Portuguese market, where demand has remained on the weak side, HRS offers have declined by €10-15/mt ($13-19/mt), while HDG prices have moved down by €30/mt ($38/mt) compared to four weeks ago.
SteelOrbis has learned that in the Portuguese flat steel market the prices of
HRC are still standing at €515/mt ($659/mt) ex-works, while HRS is now being offered at €580 ($742/mt). In the meantime, local producer
Lusosider's base offers for hot dip
galvanized (HDG) coil are now standing at €550/mt ($704/mt) ex-works. All the prices in question are for December output.
On the other hand, offers for December-January production
HRC from
Italy to
Portugal are at €460-465/mt ($589-595/mt) CFR, while ex-
Spain HRC offers are at €480/mt ($614/mt) CFR, for December and January outputs.
