During the past week, demand in the European flat steel market has declined due to the approaching Easter holiday. Market sources believe demand will revive once again after the holiday. Meanwhile, although domestic flat steel prices have remained stable week on week, they are expected to resume their upward movement after the holiday.
For now, hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in Europe are at €560-590/mt ($694-732/mt), while cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil prices are at €630-680/mt ($781-843/mt) and €650-700/mt ($806-868/mt), respectively, all ex-works.
