Global nickel price has showed a fluctuation with slightly upward trend during past week. On September 10, the three-month nickel price at the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed at $17,950/mt, while LME nickel inventory on the same date totaled 155,910mt.
In the given period, domestic stainless steel prices in China have mostly remained stable, with prices of certain products decreased slighlty. Overall trading activity has been at a low level since the prices sharply increased during last week. Most traders have kept their prices stable in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, considering the holiday period coming soon, traders are mostly willing to keep their prices at current levels or to offer certain discounts. Therefore, domestic stainless steel prices in China are expected to decrease slightly.
