Flat steel demand in the Omani domestic market have remained at the moderate levels reported by SteelOrbis last week, while ex-China flat steel offers to the region have continued to drop down. With low priced offers, Chinese steel mills have become the most important flat steel source for the region.

At present, Chinese hot rolled coil (HRC) offers to Oman are standing at $570/mt CFR, while cold rolled coil (CRC) offers are at $630/mt CFR and hot dip galvanized coil (HDG) offers to Oman stand at $680/mt CFR. The offers, which exclude VAT, are for advance payments and for deliveries in November and early December.
