Market sources state that demand for hot rolled coil (HRC) is still weak but improving in the Omani market, while offer prices of Chinese HRC to Oman have declined by $10/mt over the past week to $400-410/mt CFR, for delivery in June. According to market sources, demand for long steel products will continue its recovery amid better weather conditions and provide support for demand in the Omani flat steel market.
