Chinese CRC market remains stable

During the week ending April 23, the Chinese domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market has trended stable, while transaction activity has remained at low levels. Average CRC prices in the local Chinese market can be viewed in the SteelOrbis price reports section.

During the given week, the declines of HRC prices in the Chinese domestic market have dampened the CRC prices. Though the prevailing offer prices have remained stable, in the transaction activity, the prices could be negotiated further. However, considering CRC prices in the market has dropped to the cost level, it is estimated that transaction prices will have limited range to move down, thus CRC prices in the Chinese domestic market will indicate a fluctuating trend, within a limited range.
