Brazilian slab producers remain negotiating exports to the US in a range of $580/mt to $590/mt, stable in the last week, while exports to Europe are now in a range of $550/mt to $560/mt, against $540/mt to $560/mt last week, all FOB conditions for the product of the basic commercial grades, two local market sources told SteelOrbis.

According to one of the sources, a trend for reduced prices to the US and increased prices to Europe remains, along with the last volumes still considered as “tax-free” under the US Section 232 quota.
