The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $820/mt against $800/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 5,750/mt ($1,005/mt) against BRL 5,700/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
In January, Brazil exported 1,900 mt and imported 27,200 mt of HRC against respectively 27,900 mt and 9,700 mt of HRC in December.
The destinations of the exports in January were South America (1,700 mt at $691/mt) and the US (200 mt at $694/mt), FOB conditions.
The imports were shipped from China (26,100 mt at $506/mt), Egypt (800 mt at $619/mt), and South Korea (300 mt at $862/mt), also FOB conditions.
