The reference price for Brazilian hot dipped galvanized (HDG) export offers remains at $700/mt, FOB conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75mm thickness product as reference, reflecting a continued stable trend for the past three months.

Preliminary indications from the local customs point to very small volumes of HDG being exported from Brazil in June, negligible from the 600 mt exported in May, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2019, Brazil exported on average 24,000 mt of HDG per month.

The last import offer of HDG from China was priced at $673/mt CFR conditions for a port in the South or Southeastern coast of Brazil, with reference to the Z100/SGCC grade, stable over the last few weeks.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers at BRL 3,597/mt ($686/mt), comparable to BRL 3,418/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
