Brazilian producers remain negotiating for export slab of the basic commercial grades at $380/mt, FOB conditions—the same price as last week.

The source from a local exporter told SteelOrbis that there were hints of a downward trend for slab prices, but recent signs of stability point to a neutral trend in the short term.

In June, ArcelorMittal Tubarao exported 168,300 mt of slabs at $431/mt, Thyssenkrupp CSA 126,500 mt at $443/mt and Siderurgica do Pecem 122,200 mt at $407/mt, all FOB conditions with price deals probably closed in April.
