Brazilian average slab export price remains stable week-on-week

The average export price for Brazilian slabs stands at $467/mt, FOB conditions for basic commercial grades, reflecting no change from the previous week. This price has shown relative stability in recent weeks, with only a slight decrease compared to seven weeks prior, when it was $470/mt.

In August, Brazil exported 485,300 mt of slabs at an average price of $517/mt and imported 30,500 mt at $415/mt. By comparison, July figures were 670,500 mt exported at $530/mt and 30,700 mt imported at $424/mt.

For the first half of September, exports totaled an estimated 210,500 mt of slabs at an average price of $506/mt, while imports amounted to 18,600 mt at $479/mt, FOB conditions.
