Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has announced its prices of flat steel products for October shipment. The details are as follows (comparisons are with September prices):
1. HRC
Prices of low carbon, ultra-low carbon steel and common cold forming steel are up by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt), while prices for other HRC products are up by RMB 150/mt ($22/mt).
2. Pickling products
Prices have increased by RMB 260/mt ($38/mt).
3. CR products
1) Prices of CQ steel and non-automotive steel are up by RMB 110/mt ($16/mt), with the prices of other steel products up by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt).
2) Stainless steel division product prices are down by RMB 100/mt ($14/mt).
3) CRC prices of Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co., Ltd are down by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt).
4. HDG
1) Main steel base products: prices of S series structural steel are unchanged from September levels with other products up by RMB 260/mt ($38/mt).
2) Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co., Ltd products: prices are up by RMB 260/mt ($38/mt).
5. Electric galvanized
Prices of CQ grade material are unchanged, with other products up by RMB 100/mt ($14/mt).
6. Galvalume
1) Prices of thicknesses＜1.2 mm are up by RMB 350/mt ($52/mt), with prices of thicknesses ≥1.2 mm up by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt).
2) Prices of material produced by Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co., Ltd are RMB 100/mt ($14/mt) lower than the above galvalume prices.
7. Electrical steel
1) Non-grain-oriented electrical steel: prices of B50A1300, B65A1300 materials are up by RMB 380/mt ($56/mt), with other product prices increasing by RMB 350/mt ($52/mt).
2) Grain-oriented electrical steel: all prices are unchanged.
8. All heavy plate prices are up by RMB 150/mt ($22/mt).
All the above prices are effective from September 14 and exclude 17 percent VAT.
