Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel group Yonggang Corporation has announced that it has successfully developed production of high strength 600 MPa HTB (heat-treated bar) reinforcement bar.
The production process for this product is similar to that for the common reinforcement bar but with adjustment of the chemical composition and rolling process, and also with application of an additional quench-and-temper process. The anti-corrosion properties of the product are three times stronger than those of common reinforcement bar. Yonggang has developed five different specifications of the product, i.e., 10 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm, 22 mm and 25 mm.
