Yieh United constructs stainless steel & hot rolling plant

Taiwan's integrated stainless steel mill Yieh United Steel aims to construct stainless steel melting and hot rolling plant in China. The company will invest $550 million for this project. The construction is expected to start at the beginning of 2005. Furthermore, the mill is planned to become operative in 2007 with an annual capacity of 800'000 tons. Yieh United is the sole investor in this project which is still at the planning phase.
