Yanbian Tianchi Industry Trade has started building an iron ore pelletizing plant in Helong city, located in the Yanbian Autonomous Region of China.

With an annual pellet capacity of 1.2 million metric tons, the project is planned to be completed and to come on stream in July 2008.

Most of the iron ore to be used at this plant will be imported from North Korea, while the remainder will be supplied from the domestic market. The facility's output will mainly be sold in the cities of Tonghua and Panshi in Jilin province.

Yanbian Tianchi Industry Trade is one of the main iron ore importing companies in China.
