Germany-based Wuppermann Group has announced that it has installed a new photovoltaic system on the roofs of Wuppermann Staal Nederland B.V., the company’s Dutch production site for flat steel, with an investment of €1.4 mililon.

The planned annual electricity generation of more than 1,700 kWp covers more than three percent of the company’s own total energy consumption.

According to the company statement, the commissioning of the photovoltaic plant is another milestone on the company’s way to becoming a carbon-neutral steel processor from 2025 onwards.
