WTO to investigate US AD duties upon the request of EU

As reported by SteelOrbis last week, European Union (EU) demanded World Trade Organization (WTO) to investigate whether US lifted the duties on certain steel products it imposed five years ago that were found illegal by WTO in 2002. WTO, upon the request of EU initiated an investigation yesterday into the antidumping duties applied by the US. As a result of this investigation, if WTO finds against US, EU will have the right to ask for punitive tariffs on US goods imported to 25 nations of EU.
