World DRI output reaches 56.56 million mt in 2010

According to the preliminary data released by the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global direct reduced iron (DRI) output in 2010 came to 56.56 million metric tons, compared to 53.14 million million metric tons in 2009.

Meanwhile, in December 2010 this year world DRI output totaled 4.89 million metric tons, compared to a revised 4.67 million metric tons in November 2010.
