WISCO’s auto parts JV with Chery starts production
The auto parts joint venture plant of Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corporation (WISCO) with Chinese automobile manufacturer Chery Corporation has commenced production operations ahead of schedule, according to local media reports. The plant, which is located in Dalian in China's Liaoning Province, was built with a total investment of RMB 380 million ($62 million). Production was initially scheduled to start in 2014. WISCO has the second largest share in China's auto steel sheet market after Baosteel.
