WISCO America Company Ltd., the US-based subsidiary of Chinese steel manufacturer Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation (WISCO), has announced its plan to establish an office in Venezuela.

The new office will be the fourth overseas office of the company. Thus, WISCO will have eight subsidiaries and four offices worldwide, spread across Asia, Europe, Australia, South America and North America.

WISCO has been expanding its network in the global market. In October 2009, the company signed a seven-year contract with the Venezuela-based mining company CVG to secure iron ore supplies, for a total volume of more than 40 million mt.
