WISCO announces Q1 2007 ex-factory prices

SteelOrbis Shanghai On December 4, 2006, China's Hubei province based Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation (WISCO) announced the Q1 2007 ex-factory prices for some of its products. The details are as follows: Hot rolled coil Prices remain unchanged. The new price of 2.75 mm Q235 stands at RMB 3,760/mt ($481), while that of 5.5 mm Q235 is still at RMB 3,610/mt ($462). Medium plate Prices haven't seen any change, and so the price of 14-20 mm Q235 stands at RMB 3,610/mt ($462). Silicon steel The price of oriented silicon steel increased RMB 500/mt ($64), while that of non-oriented silicon steel increased RMB 150/mt ($19) Cold rolled coil Price decreased RMB 80/mt ($10). The new price of 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled sheet is at RMB 4,070/mt ($520), while that of 1.0mm Q195 CRC is at RMB 4,020/mt ($514). The prices of other products remained unchanged. All the above prices exclude 17 percent value-added tax and are effective as of December 4, 2006.
