Weirton Steel receives approval for extension

Weirton Steel Corp. stated that they received approval from the U.S Bankruptcy Court for three month extension to submit a reorganization plan. According to the company official's announcement, this reorganization plan will provide Weirton Steel to emerge from bankruptcy which the company filed on May 19. The company's business and restructuring negotiations keep going on during the process. The deadline for Weirton Steel to submit its reorganization plan is set as December 15, 2003.
