Vorskla Steel Bulgaria EOOD, which belongs to Ukrainian businessman Konstantin Zhevago, has announced that it has shipped 170,000 mt of iron ore to Bulgarian steel giant Kremikovtzi in the last two days.

According to the company's release, this amount of iron ore will be enough for Kremikovtzi to work at a normal production rate for one and a half months.

By shipping iron ore to Kremikovtzi, Vorskla Steel has confirmed its intention to recuperate Kremikovtzi in the shortest time possible. According to its plan, Vorskla Steel will ensure stable supplies of iron ore to Kremikovtzi from its Ukrainian subsidiary and will also inject $90 million into the Bulgarian plant.

As SteelOrbis reported earlier, Kremikovtzi has not yet accepted either of the two proposals made to it, i.e. from ArcelorMittal on the one hand and from Vorskla Steel Bulgaria EOOD on the other.
