Venezuelan state-owned steelmaker Complejo Siderurgico Nacional (CSN) resumed billet production, a government-affiliated newspaper said this weekend.

CSN reportedly resumed operations at its Casima mill, which was under a scheduled maintenance program since December.

As a result of the mill’s restart, the Casima plant produced 10,600 mt of billet, which will be transformed into 9,800 mt of rebar to supply a government-run housing program, the domestic market as well as other state-run companies and sectors.
