Vale’s CSP slab exports rise 5.3 percent in H1

Brazilian slab producer Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem (CSP), which is owned by Vale, Posco and Dongkuk Steel, saw its slab exports through the Pecem Port Complex in the state of Ceará increase in H1 this year, according to a Ceará state news agency.

CSP’s slab exports in H1 totaled 1.3 million mt, 5.3 percent up, year-over-year. According to data from the Pecem Port Complex, CSP’s slab exports in June alone reached 253,755 mt, which represents a 15.9 percent year-over-year increase.
