As Brazil’s state-run energy producer Petrobras faces a serious crisis, several Vale executives are under consideration for the CEO position at the oil company, according to media reports.

One of the executives to substitute Graca Foster, who stepped down on Wednesday amid a growing corruption scandal, is Murilo Ferreira, CEO of Vale.

According to media reports, Ferreira is known for successfully cutting costs at Vale and renewing the company’s focus on its core operations in Brazil after Roger Agnelli expanded its international operations.

Other names that might be considered for Petrobras include Henrique Meirelles, a former president of Brazil’s central bank, Rodolfo Landim, as well as Agnelli.
