Uzmetkombinat’s crude steel output up 0.1 percent in 2010

Uzbekistan-based steel producer Uzmetkombinat has announced that in 2010 its crude steel output amounted to 717,400 mt, registering a 0.1 percent increase compared to 2009.

In addition, in 2010 Uzmetkombinat's shipments of rolled steel products amounted to 691,600 mt - up 3.6 percent from the forecasted level of 667,800 mt.

In order to expand the geographical range of its steel product supplies, Uzmetkombinat entered into contracts for the delivery of rolled steel products to Turkmenistan and Iran, as well as for the delivery of radiator strips to Kazakhstan and Iran.
