Uzbekistan ups steel output 1.7 percent in Q1

The State Statistics Department of Uzbekistan has released that the country's crude steel output rose 1.7 percent year on year to 158,313 tons in the first quarter of 2006. Roll output grew 2.1 percent to 153,252 tons in the period under consideration.
