US Steel Kosice to build metal-plate plant

US Steel Kosice, the Slovak unit of US Steel, is planning to build a new metal-plate plant in order to meet the demand of the new EU member country's booming car industry. The construction cost is expected to cost around $200 million, but it was not clear yet how much money would be needed for the new project. US Steel Kosice, which produces around 4 million tons of steel a year, will take the final decision in the first half of the next year.
