US rig counts take another dip as Canada keeps rising

According to the latest report from Baker Hughes, for the week ending July 27, the US rig count fell by 11 to 1,924, following a total 36-rig drop over the previous three weeks. The gas rig count slid another 13 to 505 to the lowest level in 13 years. Rigs drilling for oil rose by two to 1,416.

Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased once again, this time by 10 to 338, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 57 rigs.
