US rig counts swell, Canadian rig counts drop

According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, for the week ending June 24, the US rotary rig count is up 22 from last week to 1,182. This reflects a year-on-year increase of 330 rigs.

The Canadian rig count is down 27 from last week and is now 250, representing a year-over-year decrease of 23 rigs.

The US offshore rig count is 33, down two from last week and up 16 year-on-year.
