According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, for the week ending October 14, the US rotary rig count rose by 11 from the previous week to 2,023, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 353 rigs.
US oil rigs rose by 10 last week to 1,080, reflecting an increase of 385 rigs year-on-year. Gas rigs rose by one last week to 936, but were still down 30 from a year ago.
The Canadian rig count fell by 10 in the last week to 512, representing a year-on-year increase of 89 rigs.
