According to preliminary census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of rebar totaled 104,268 mt in February this year, up 2.2 percent month on month and up 126.0 percent year on year. By value, rebar imports totaled $56.65 million in February this year, compared to $56.86 million in January and $30.77 million in February 2025.
The US imported the most rebar from South Korea in February with 66,498 mt, compared to 9,225 mt in January. Other top sources of imported rebar in February include Turkey with 26,213 mt, Spain with 3,844 mt, Portugal with 3,226 mt, and the Dominican Republic with 2,947 mt.
